On Thursday, April 10th, Eudora High students were given the opportunity to attend an assembly about vehicle safety. This assembly was  focused on railway safety. The discussion included learning about the government’s regulations regarding the usage of the tracks and how best to follow the regulations. Officers also talked to students about the dangers of alcohol use in order to raise awareness before Eudora’s prom weekend. Later that day, the Eudora Police Department set up simulations of driving under the influence for the students. Examples included a dummy in a car without a seat belt, “drunk” goggles for students who were then able to drive a golf cart, and sobriety tests.
