Tyler Cleveland originally went to school for accounting where he then got a job in Kansas City, in logistics before transitioning to special education. While working in logistics was profitable work, Mr. Cleveland wasn’t making the impact he wanted.

Coming from Eudora, Mr. Cleveland was a member of the Class of 2004 which was the first group of seniors to graduate from the current Eudora High School building. Mr. Cleveland knew he wanted to do something impactful, he wanted to change lives.  Mr. Cleveland’s wife, Megan Cleveland, gave him inspiration to take up teaching.

“I’ve always wanted to have some type of impact on people about to enter adulthood,” said Mr. Cleveland, “Give them something to take with them into their adult life.”

With being an assistant coach for football and basketball , Mrs. Cleveland’s wife being a first grade teacher, and his kids going to Eudora, Mr. Cleveland was already acquainted with many of the teachers. Mr. Cleveland already was in love with the Eudora district, as well as how family-oriented it is.

“I was already pretty friendly with the teachers and a lot of the coaches here,  but it’s also this community that is very centered around family and I believe the school is the hub of a lot of that energy,” said Mr. Cleveland.
