This past August, Eudora High School proudly welcomed culinary instructor Jack Low to the Eudora family. Low, a long time food service extraordinaire, came to Eudora from Free State Brewery. At 23rd Street Low was part of a restaurant that bought into the local foods movement. When speaking about the transition to education Low commented on his love of enlightening students.

“I had a girl today who didn’t know pickles came from cucumbers…  seeing that, making that connection was just amazing to me.”

Low works everyday to prepare students for careers in the food industry.  He is proud that the EHS program gives students an incredible head start in preparing for a limitless field.

“That’s how people end up on Food Network, that’s how they get their own show. They start off in programs just like this.”
