The Lady Cardinals traveled to Spring Hill on Friday, Feb 13 to take on the Lady Broncos. The ladies put up a fight and kept it a close game for the duration of the four quarters. With five seconds left in the fourth quarter the ladies were down by a single basket. SpringHill was at the line shooting two free throws. The player missed the first and made the second. This basket made the Lady Cardinals deficit now a three-point basket. The ball was passed in and rushed down the court by junior Liz Kendall who shot a last second three that rimmed of sealing the deal for the Lady Broncos. The final score was 33-30.

 

On Tuesday, Feb 17 the ladies loaded up the bus and headed to DeSoto to battle against the Lady Wildcats. The squad seemed to have an off night against the Lady Wildcats and lost 15-36.

 

Tuesday, Feb 24 marks the last regular season game for the Lady Cardinals. The squad hosted a game against the Lady Cyclones of Ottawa for their last matchup in the season. The ladies were down 10 points at the half with high hopes of making a comeback. Unfortunately, the ladies weren’t able to come out with a win for their senior night. The final score was 37-16.

The Lady Cardinals next game is against Bishop Miege in the first round of sub-state. Tip off will be on Friday, Mar 6 at 7:30.
