Henderson Plans A Summer Abroad

As summer is right around the corner many kids are dreaming of white sand beaches, tan skin, and time with friends. However, for junior Kenzie Henderson work is right around the corner. Even though Henderson will be working over the summer, her new job comes with a slight perk.
“I am going to nanny in London for my aunt and uncle this summer, I will watch my four-year-old cousin, Penelope, and take her to her activities and just be a cool cousin.” Henderson told us.
Henderson received this amazing opportunity after her uncle received a job in London and was forced to relocate. Henderson will be leaving on May 31 and won’t return from her summer full of adventure until August 2. Living in London will be a huge step for Henderson and is something she is ready for. She looks forward to traveling all over Europe over the summer on her days off and as she says, “seeing hot british boys.”
“I am a little worried about not being able to use my cell phone and not having enough room for all of my stuff.” stated Henderson.
It will take a great deal of getting used to, living in a whole other country for a summer on top of balancing a job. Henderson will have to make all new friends, find new places to shop, and cool places to hang out, but she is going into this big change with a positive attitude.
“I think [that when I get back] I will have grown up a lot and learned a lot about the world and other cultures,” an exuberant Henderson said.
So, as the school year starts to diminish, Henderson is becoming increasingly more anxious with every minute as her summer full of excitement and culture is right around the corner.
