The Cardinals soccer team has been playing to the best of their ability despite all of their recent injuries. The team hasn’t seen the results they wanted on the scoreboard but are still optimistic.

The team traveled to Baldwin on Thursday, Oct. 10 to take on the Bulldogs. The Cardinals were taken down by the Bulldogs by a score of 7-0.

The next game was at the Eudora home stadium against Immaculata on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The Cardinals scored two goals to keep the game very close. The final score was 3-2 with Immaculata taking the W but the Cardinals weren’t far behind.

The Cardinals hosted another home game again on Thursday, Oct. 17 against the Louisburg Wildcats. Senior Alex Young scored two goals to bring the score to 5-2.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the Cardinals made their way to Sumner Academy to take on the Sabres. The Cardinals played hard but in the end lost 3-1.

The Cardinals suited up for their last game of the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 24. They traveled to Perry-Lecompton to take on the Kaws. The Cardinals fell short to the Kaws with a score of 1-0.

The team played Bishop Ward on Monday Oct. 28 for the regional match. The Cardinals lost 4-1, with Young scoring his last high school goal.
