The possibility of a golf team for EHS is conceivable, but
it is still yet to be decided. If a golf team was to be set in

stone for EHS, it must acquire interest/funding from stu-
dents, staff, and parents for two years. It requires approval

from the school committee.

Cara Kimberlin, Assistant Principal and Activities Direc-
tor said that funding is an important component.

“Per Eudora school district board policy, if a sport is going

to be added it has to be 100% funded through fundraising by
the kids, team, and parents for the first two years,” Kimberlin
said. “It also has to be prior approved by the board.”
The rumors of a new golf team were premature but were
sparked by a recent poll that went out to students.

“There simply was a survey put out to see what the inter-
est would be for boys golf and girls golf,” Kimberlin said,

“That is as far as this process has gone and there really is
no story at this time.”
