Up next: Tuesday, Oct. 3 vs. Baldwin

Up next: Friday Oct. 6 vs. Ottawa

XC

“So the last meet the girls got 1st place and when they announced it we all stood up and cheered really loud and everyone congratulated each other. It was a heartwarming moment seeing everyone share the love.” said Nicole Tener, Sr.

“The best thing at our last game was the great crowd to cheer us on and support us and it really does help us and makes us play better in my opinion,” said Nate Gomez, Sr.

Last game: Thursday, Sept. 28 vs. Spring Hill

Up next: Monday, Oct. 2 vs. DeSoto

Scholar’s bowl

“The team is going to be very strong in math and science, as we have been for the past few years. Language arts has always been a struggle but we’ve been practicing hard to get better. I’m excited for every single meet, but I have my eyes on the prize. I’m very excited for playoffs and state,” said John Bock, Sr.

Up next: Scholar’s bowl is coming soon, with their first meet on Oct. 17 vs. Bonner Springs

Band

“The students understood this within about the first week of school and have risen to the occasion. At our first game our performance was good, but we’re only getting better as the days go on. The student section, dance, and cheer has given us a lot of support, and it’s really helped make us more confident and excited about what we do,” said Sara Case, Sr.

Up next: The band members will be traveling to Bonner Springs Sept. 21 for their first Marching Festival.

Choir

“The Eudora High School choir has almost doubled their size this year by doubling the size of the two select choirs, Primo Voci and Cantorei. With the larger choirs and we will be able to pull off some AMAZING pieces. This year the choir is bringing in a lot more of unique talents! I am excited to see everyone working together and cannot wait until we get on stage and really show our stuff, including working with a full orchestra!” said Jaden Taylor, Sr.

Up next: Fall Concert on Monday, Oct. 16 in the PAC at 6:30.

Cheer

The Eudora Cheer team this summer has gained two new coaches: Carlee Kyle and Amber Jackson.

“So far, the coaching experience at EHS has been a dream come true! The team is full of fun, hard working, and driven individuals. The cheer parents are just as hard working and supportive. I could not have imagined a better community and school to coach at,” said Coach Carlee.

Up next: Stay tuned in November for the Eudora Cheer Elite Dance Festival held at Eudora High School in the gym.

Dance:

“I am most excited for our festival performance with the song ‘Wait For It’ from Hamilton. It’s an awesome song, I love it but that’s for basketball season for this football season I am excited to use flags for the band show, we had camp over the summer to work on our flag skills and everythings pretty awesome this year especially since we have an superhero theme for the band show .”

Up next: Catch the dance teams new performance at halftime at the football game on Friday, Sept. 29.
