The room of teacher Eric Hoffmeier, former sponsor of SADD,  is now occupied by new Life Skills teacher, Makayla Epp.

Epp, a graduate of Bethel College in Newton, Kansas, has a passion for working with Special Education students. Epp previously worked as an instructor at Lifescape in Sioux Falls SD. According to their website, Lifescape is an organization that ‘empowers children and adults with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives’.

“I taught a lot of functional, vocational, and academic skills to kids ranging from pre-k to high school in a highly specialized setting,’ said Epp.

Upon leaving Lifescape, she branched out to job opportunities in Kansas and was hired as a teacher in a Eudora-Baldwin co-op.

In her first month here she has already found the positive impacts our school leaves with students and the community, and had nothing but good things to say about EHS.

“I would say kids who go to Eudora are very blessed,” Epp said.
