after prom

All Night Prom was originally created to be a safe environment for students to keep away from drugs, alcohol and other pressures after prom hours, but in recent years has became an exciting and unforgettable experience for the students who attend. In effort to attract as many students as possible, the Eudora High School Booster Club plans out event activities months in advance. For years, the sponsors have donated much of their time and effort to raise money for and set up All Night Prom, which has given students the opportunity to have fun and to create memories before finals and graduation.

Every year All Night Prom has a new theme, many games, a photo booth and lots of food. Senior Nich Elliott has been to All Night Prom twice and is expecting to attend for his third year.

“I think that it’s a really fun event that lets the upperclassmen and few underclassmen relieve some stress at the end of the year,” says Elliot. “I think it’s also a great event that lets friends get together to have fun, and it also lets people create friendships with other people.”

All Night Prom takes place at Eudora Middle School and starts at midnight and ends at 6 a.m. There are two rules students should be aware of before entering the event: There is no leaving the building once All Night Prom has begun until it has officially ended, and cell phones are not allowed. The phones are taken upon entering and are given back at the end of the event.

All Night Prom is an event that is open for all EHS juniors and seniors along with the registered dates of those eligible. Senior Elias Dunn personally enjoys All Night Prom and has attended once, and is expecting to attend this year.

“Hanging out with everyone who attends is a blast which is why I believe everyone should go to All Night Prom at least once in their high school career.”
