Eudora High School is putting on its annual spring production, and it’s right around the corner. For two months, the cast of “Game of Tiaras” has been tirelessly working to prepare themselves to put on a show worthy of Broadway. The play, which will be performed Feb. 11th and 13th, tells a tale of princesses fighting over their father’s land. The play includes characters from all corners of the fictional world such as Cinderella, Elsa, Belle, the Little Mermaid, Prince Charming, and even Smeagol.

“[The play] is hilarious. We always say a punchline and everyone dies laughing,” said Haley Hoffman, Soph.

“There was one time, when someone playing a priest was supposed to come back to life, but he kept coming back and jumping in at the wrong times. Everyone was laughing so hard we couldn’t go on for the next ten minutes,” added Hoffman.

Hoffman will be playing the roles of Snow White and Princess Leia. Hoffman participated in the fall musical “Beauty and the Beast.” Haley decided to join the play because she’d been taking acting classes and wanted to continue to get more involved.

Another play participant is Jr. Jesse Dennison. Jesse will be acting as Smeagol, a hunchbacked hand of the king. This is also Jesse’s first play.

“I hear stories about the play and they’re always jolly and I wanted to join in on the kookiness,” said Jesse, about why he decided to join in on the fun.

“Practices are pretty chill and if you make a mistake everyone laughs it off. I expected it to be very strict,” added Dennison.

Student tickets will be on sale for $3 and Adult tickets $5.
