An eventful week has been planned for the Eudora sports programs as Eudora baseball challenges Bonner Springs and Spring Hill back to back. Varsity was on the road while JV played at home against Bonner, but varsity stayed home while JV travelled to Spring Hill.

The varsity games started first at 4:00 that windy afternoon against Bonner, and both teams would prove to be an even match as the game hung close to the very end. At the end of game one Eudora lost with a final score of 1-0.

In game two, however, Eudora managed to hop out to a lead, keeping Bonner one step behind throughout the duration of the game as the final score would end out with Eudora in the lead 6-4.

The day after the Eudora varsity team had beaten Bonner, they faced off in a home game against league rivals, the Spring Hill broncos. Eudora took an early lead and made several big plays as they took out Spring Hill in game one no problem with a final of 12-7.

Shortly after game one, the gloves were back on and game two was underway. The cardinals weren’t quite prepared for what Spring Hill had left in the tank and quickly lost the lead in game two. Things got out of hand for the Cardinals and stayed out of reach until the final minutes. Then the clock hit zero the cardinals were declared the losers of game two with a final score of 15-3.

The team will face off against Ottawa on Tuesday, April 28.
