Baseball Kicks off at home
By Braeden Manley
As winter comes down to its final moments, we reflect on one of the greatest times of the year, spring. The grass if finally green again and the weather is warm, and you know what that means. Baseball.
The baseball team has been working hard for the last bit of winter to prepare for what the spring and early summer may bring into view. The team finished last season with a record of 7-14 and said goodbye to a number of seniors including Eric Rogers and Ryan McCabe.
Junior Aaron Foster says “Although they (the seniors) were athletic in their defense, some of the freshman are athletic and have a lot of experience playing baseball and try their hardest to impress coach. I think the team as a whole will work better and harder together to get that W. The team will definitely do better than last year.”
The baseball team will begin their season on Monday, March 30 with a JV double header against Anderson County with the varsity game at home the day after.
