Eudora Soccer Senior Night Ends Regular Season

By Braeden Manley

The Eudora soccer team held their last home game, which was also their last game of the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 23. The night started off the same any other soccer night would, the Cardinals warmed up and prepared for their game with one change. Eudora would be hosting their senior night against a team that held two of their own previous members. One would be their opponent’s head coach, and the other their starting goalkeeper. Eudora introduced their five seniors Cody Hoover, Ethan Wells, Trey Byrne, Payton Williams, and Dalton Vesecky. The Cardinals would prove to be a tough match for Perry, as the game would go scoreless until the final three minutes where an unlucky time and placement for the Eudora defense would result in an own-goal pushed in by Byrne. The Cardinals would soon lose the game 1-0.

The team will begin their post-season by taking on Heritage Christian on Monday, Oct. 27.
