Track Travels to Baldwin

On a cold Friday afternoon the Cardinal track team made their way to Baldwin City to compete in tough Baldwin Invitational. Both the boys and girls competed hard and finished eighth of the 12 teams at this meet.

Senior Kelsey Balluch was the only individual to place first. Balluch placed first in the one mile. Other seniors, Kennedy O’Dell and Tristin Chapman, placed second in their events. O’Dell placed in shot put and Chapman in pole vault. Junior Jon Miller placed second as well in the one and two mile.

A couple more athletes placed third at this meet. Senior Kennedy O’Dell placed third in discus and freshman Braeden Manley placed third in pole vault.

The Cardinals will compete again Thursday, April 10 in Paola.
