New Staff Profile: Mrs. Deanna Brown

Deanna Brown is a name most students at EHS are familiar with. This year, Brown transferred from Eudora Middle School to Eudora High school. As a student counselor, she works with students to give them assistance, help them reach academic goals, and grow personally

Brown was born in Pratt, Kansas. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Secondary School Counseling. She has been married to Todd Brown for 27 years. They have two children, a daughter, Logan, who is a senior at Vanderbilt University and a son, Hayden, who is a freshman at the University of Kansas.

“We also have Roxie, an Australian shepard, who is very much part of our family,” she said.

There are always many surprises during the day for Brown, but getting to see the students she first met at the middle school again as high schoolers is an unexpected aspect of her new job.

“My biggest surprise is seeing how much all the students have changed since middle school.”
