With songs like Sweet Caroline, Killing Me Softly, and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, this year’s choir show, Platinum, has a little something for everyone.

Anticipation for the two May performances began in late January, when the large group songs were chosen. Students auditioned with small ensembles and solos on Mar. 11, and this year the competition was tough, with 65 auditions.

“We have a really big variety of performances! There’s different genres and a lot of good soloists and small ensembles,” said Rachel Stockton, Jr.

With two different performance dates, it can be hard to choose which night to attend. “Saturday night is the better night to go because of all of our nerves are gone and we have a lot of energy,” Stockton said.

The show will be performed May 6 and 7 at 7 pm, the Saturday night show being senior night. Tickets are $3 for students, $5 for adults, and can be purchased in the EHS office.
