Former Student Helps Current Students

EHS teacher Erik Peltzman provides students with the opportunity to work in the library after school. If you have been taking advantage of this opportunity, you may have spotted former EHS student Sean Moran. Moran graduated in 2011 and is currently attending Kansas University. He plans to pursue a career in medicine or teaching.
When asked about the former student, Peltzman recalled a few things about Moran, “Sean never had my class. However, when he was in school he and I had a few discussions about his behavior… as he was a bit of a class clown, especially his freshman year. By his senior year he was a well mannered kid who appreciated my concern for his future and the betterment of his person.”
Recently, Moran has been volunteering his time to tutor students after school. He hopes to give back to his community as well as utilize his tutoring experience. In addition to helping with homework, Moran hopes to show students the practical benefits of maturing as a learner. This extra hand is especially useful as students work their way through the semester. Moran says his favorite thing about helping at EHS is the opportunity to be a positive role model for the future generations.
