Cardinal Cross Country Competes at Frontier League Meet

Over the long weekend in Eudora, on Saturday, Oct. 17 the Cardinal cross country team competed at the Frontier League Meet in Ottawa.

The girls came in fourth of seven teams. With the top varsity placers including freshmen Ashleigh Hicks and Melanie Reese and senior Kelsey Balluch. Hicks came in 16th immediately followed by Balluch at 17th. Reese finished at 23rd out of 84 runners.

The boys placed fifth as a team. Junior Jon Miller placed fourth, sophomore Jayce McQueen came in 21st, followed by senior Gunnar Norris who placed 30th.

The team will compete again on  Saturday, Oct. 26 at the regionals meet in Bonner Springs.
