Boys Basketball

The end is near! With winter sports that is. Boys basketball finished their season with a record of 9-12.
The seniors played their last game at home on February 19 at Eudora’s Senior Night. The seniors this year included Nick Becker, Chris Snow, Emilio Terrazas-Rincon, Hunter Trefz, and Tyler Hadl. They played against one of the toughest teams in the state, Ottawa. The Cards started off with a strong grip on the score, but as the Cyclones became more comfortable, they started laying down some big points. In the end, Eudora lost 65-27.
Junior Andrew Ballock said about the season, “I was happy with how the season went, our team really came on towards the second half of the season. We played hard and had a good time together. I’ll definitely miss the seniors next year.”
Sub-state was held at Paola. Eudora had the disadvantage playing on Paola’s home court, but the Cards pulled through and won 57-42. They advanced to play at Ottawa. The Cardinals had a tough match ahead and held on to the game as long as they could, but suffered a defeat of 51-42.
